MUMBAI, Mar 19: Equifax Venture Infotex will enter the debit card processing services in India along with its joint venture partner Equifax Inc. The company, with a share capital of Rs 36 crore, provides infrastructure for consumer payment processing services including credit, debit and chip cards.Equifax Venture Infotek will provide technology, software and other services for consumer payment systems like credit reporting, report on credibility of customer, information analysis, collection services and customer services.
The list of support products includes telecom, electronic and internet banking, making of the card, facilitating fast movement of money, card verification and support activity, detection of defaults and other risk-management services.
"Our decision to provide debit card processing services is in keeping with our service philosophy and leveraging infrastructure already set up by us for credit cards," Equifax Venture Infotek chairman Dhurva K Khaitan said on Thursday.
