Opel Astra offers 2-year guarantee

OUR INFRASTRUCTURE BUREAU
MUMBAI, Mar 20: With an aim to enhancing customer care and service, General Motors India has launched unique and attractive packages for Opel Astra buyers. The company has designed an exclusive two-year warranty package beginning this month. This is an "Industry First" in India.

The highlight of the two-year package is the warranty for two years or 40,000 km, whichever occurs earlier, as compared to other car manufacturers who offer warranty for only one year. To the benefit of Opel Astra owners, the package includes bumper-to-bumper warranty in the first year and in the second year of the package period, only a small number of items are excluded from the warranty.

Besides the exclusive warranty package, all Opel buyers during March 9 to 31 will be pleased to receive four free services at 7.5, 15, 22.5 and 30,000 kms. In addition, all labour costs will be borne by the company for vehicles sold during that period. What would attract a true car lover is the fact that he will be eligible to get allconsumables free during the four free services. GMI is confident that this special offer would enhance customer value brand equity of Opel.

Of the Opel range, the Astra is the third largest selling car in the world."Our goal is to deliver products along with services that customers want in order to give them a complete ownership experience. Products that offer precision German engineering, safety and luxurious features," says GM India president & managing director Richard Swando. "Opel Astra has been suitably modified for Indian conditions. The product superiority is clearly established by the high degree of reliability which has allowed us to double the warranty package to the Opel customers."

General Motors, which is the number one company on the Fortune 500 list, has the highest (17 per cent) market share in the world market ahead of Toyota, Honda et al. The Indian market and the Asia-Pacific region in general are very important to GM.
