  Pfizer to seek shareholder approval for sale of Ankleshwar unit
Pfizer will seek shareholder approval for the proposed sale of its Ankleshwar facility in Gujarat at its forthcoming annual general meeting (AGM). The meeting will also seek shareholder approval for the appointment of B Valentini and Pierre G Etienne as directors of the Indian arm.
  GSFC may set up consortium to acquire stake in Togo mines
Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) is exploring the possibility of setting up a consortium with the West Asia-based trading company Trans Fert and the Rajasthan State Mining Corporation to pick up a stake in Togo (rock phosphate) mines located in West Africa.

Polysindo, JCT lock horns, spar on synthetic-fibre unit valuation
Indonesian firm Polysindo has accused JCT of going back on its earlier commitment on the price for its synthetic fibre division. Polysindo was keen on completing the transaction, but JCT has suddenly raised objections on the valuation of the business and has sought an additional Rs 100 crore for the divestment.
BMW to buy Rolls-Royce, Bentley for $571 million
BMW of Germany is to buy the luxury car makers Rolls-Royce and Bentley for -- 340 million ($571 million). The agreement specifies that Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars will continue to be made in Britain.

L&T set to bag industrial zone contract in Gujarat
The diversified engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is set to bag the construction contract for a special-industrial zone in Gujarat for garments. The garment zone is being set up by the Clothing Manufacturers Association Of India (CMAI).
BT mulls open offer for Bharti Telecom
Global telecom giant British Telecommunications Plc is understood to be considering an open offer to the shareholders of Bharti Telecom to pick up a substantial stake in the company. The offer is expected to be made in the range of Rs 95-100.
