  Net language is evolving at a quick pace
The timing about the Internet is that it is a new, dynamic medium. The language of the Internet, hyper text markup language or HTML, is also a dynamic, evolving creature. Unlike other programming languages, HTML's repertoire of commands is still expanding, new attributes are added every month that define new actions. Therefore, it is natural that software packages for programming in HTML also evolve.

Beauty Cosmetics plans face-lift to take on consumer goods giants
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. So would Beauty Cosmetics, it would seem, going by the ambitious plans of the Chennai-based consumer products company to change its name in the near future and take on giants like HLL and Godrej in their own arena. The change in name is the first step in the company's bid to revamp its whole strategy.

Coca-Cola Enterprises to buy Coke Southwest
Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc, the largest bottler of Coca-Cola Co products, said it had agreed to acquire Coke Southwest, the fifth largest, in a deal worth $1.1 billion. Coca-Cola Enterprises, which already sells 65 per cent of the canned and bottled Coke in the US, said it had signed a letter of intent to acquire CCBG Corp and Texas Bottling Group Inc, which are collectively known as Coke Southwest.

Dow Jones crosses 9,000; scales a record high
Bulling past a new milestone, the dow industrials closed above 9,000 for the first time, extending a relentless climb that got its final nudge from the biggest business merger ever. Meanwhile, share prices surged 5.4 per cent on the Korea Stock Exchange on Tuesday, rebounding on the rising yen and reports that the government will privatise state-owned companies.
