HSBC Capital Markets India Private Limited has recently appointed Jatin Sanghvi as manager-advisory services. Sanghvi, who has an MBA from the US, will be based in Mumbai and will work closely with the global team within HSBC Investment Banking and help build the advisory services capability effectively.

Prior to joining HSBC, Sanghvi worked as manager-corporate finance with BZW, where he worked extensively on assignments to attract foreign direct investments and the raising of equity capital by Indian corporates in the international markets.

Thorpe to be IMG vice-president

Malcolm Thorpe, Senior Manager for Sales and Marketing, IMG, takes over as the Vice-President of IMG International and will be incharge of IMG's football operations in the entire Asian region.

Thorpe, who has been associated with India for over two and half year, has been responsible for managing IMG's football activities including the successful establishment of the Phillips League and theKalyani Black Label Cup events. Apart from this, Thorpe has also managed the representation of soccer star Bhaichung Bhutia which had proved enormously successful. Thorpe has also been involved in IMG events like the Sahara Cup, the Gold Flake Open and the $ 3,00,000 Classic Indian Open golf event in Calcutta.
