Mumbai bourse to issue third notice to Nestle
BSE has decided to dash off a third showcause notice to Nestle following dissatisfaction over the latter's contention that being a multinational it has to first intimate its parent company, its offices worldwide and financial institutions which hold a stake in the company before it can inform the local stock exchanges.
Rally percolates to second-rung information-technology stocks
The rally in information-technology (IT) scrips has percolated to the second-rung infotech companies, with several stocks scaling new highs. The buying interest in these scrips has been aided by expectations of good results for 1997-98.

Stocks block road to oil-price recovery
Bloated world petroleum stocks are likely to inflict more months of price pain on oil producers despite agreement among them to trim supplies. A rare first quarter stock build this year has glutted oil storage tanks, blunting the effect of this month's ground-breaking pact by Opec and non-Opec producers to cut back output.

Anagram Wellington hopes to raise Rs 70 crore
A joint venture between Anagram Finance Ltd and Singapore-based Wellington International Management Company, Anagram Wellington Asset Management Company (AWAMC) plans to mobilise around Rs 50-70 crore in fiscal 1998-99. This is a whopping 733% increase over the amount mobilised through its maiden scheme launched in 1997.
