  Coca-Cola plans to add 50,000 retailers
In an attempt to propel its volumes, Coca Cola India (CCI) is planning to add over 50,000 retailers to the existing base of four lakh in the current year. Besides, the company is also planning to implement comprehensive advertising, marketing and distribution initiatives throughout the year.
  Air India saves Rs 15 crore in risk premium
Air India (AI) has effected major savings of about Rs 15 crore in insurance premium because of the excellent safety record of its aircraft. The aviation insurance policy for AI's aircraft was placed in the international re-insurance market for a one-year period from April 1.

Kia Motors talks fail to end strike
Union leaders and a new management team of South Korea's financially troubled Kia Motors Corp failed to end a three-day strike in talks. The meeting was held at the request of court-appointed administrator Yoo Chong-yul shortly after Yoo appointed a new president for Kia Motors.
SAS Institute to open consultancy services division
SAS Institute, the $750 million US-based software company, is planning to set up a consulting services division in India. The division, which is expected to be operational soon, will provide consultancy services to clients here and to those in the Asia-Pacific region and the US.

Landbase India unveils blueprint to put country on global golf map
With the membership launch of South Asia's first integrated sports complex and golf course, it is now Tauru's turn. Classic Golf Resort, inspected by designer of the course, Jack Nicklaus, became the first south Asian Signature Championship Course for international tournaments when this 27-hole course was thrown open for members on April 12th.

Binani, HZL to expand zinc smelter capacities
Binani Industries have plans to set up a 100,000-tpa zinc smelter and 75,000-tpa lead smelter, both green field ventures. The company wants to expand the existing capacities of zinc smelter from 30,000 tpa to 40,000 tpa.
