The move comes close on the heels of its Japanese ally NTT's decision to walk out of the joint venture. Analysts say the Goenkas are hard put to scout around for a new partner who could share the project's imposing licence fee.Shoot at sight in AP: The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday ordered its policemen to shoot at sight upon disruptionists in a bid to quell efforts by peeved employees of the state electricity board to sabotage power supply. Banks unions' meet on report: A joint committee of bank unions is to meet on Tuesday to chalk out its strategy against the recommendations of the second Narasimham report. Tens of scores of bank employees' unions across the breadth of the country have risen in unison to let out an agitated wail of anguish against the report, which has, among things, suggested that the centre `examine' the closure of weak banks.
