BANGALORE, April 29: The Bangalore-based D'gipro Design Automation and Marketing has entered into a strategic alliance with Quickturn Design Systems Inc of the US. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Praveen Acharya, director (marketing) said the agreement encompasses marketing, sales and servies of all Quickturn products in India.The $110-million Quickturn Design Systems is the industry leader in cycle-based simulation, re-programmable logic emulation products and services for design verification of complex ICs and electronic systems.
The company emulation products create "virtual silicon" representation of an electronic design to permit concurrent verification of ICs with system hardware and software, said Douglas Cheung, territory manager (Asia Pacific), Quickturn Design Systems Inc. Acharya said the Bangalore-based company is planning to set up an electronic design automation (EDA) consultancy cell in the city.
Some of the major clients using Quickturn products are Texas Instruments,Intel, Motorola, AMP, IBM, AT&T, HP, NEC and Samsung.
