Gerard Petit has taken over as general manager of Air France, and is in charge of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Based in New Delhi, Petit replaces Marc Benedetti who moves on to Singapore as Air France's regional director, South Asia.

Petit comes to India after his stint as regional manager of Air France in charge of Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Australia.

Petit joined Air Inter, the domestic carrier of France and now part of Air France, in 1983. Since then he held several important assignments in North and South France, Italy and Ireland, etc.

Gurcharan Singh launches Esteem Projects Pvt Ltd

Gurcharan Singh has launched Esteem Projects Private Limited to cater to refineries, fertiliser and petrochemical industries.

Prior to this, Singh, who has an experience of more than 25 years, served as general manager with Kinetics Technology India Limited (KTI) and executed several projects by using modular concept,which helped in the reduction of construction time from an earlier 36 months to 16 to 20 months in refineries and fertiliser industries. He now plans to use modular concept in project management, improved procurement methods and construction philosophy.
