MUMBAI, May 5: Vatsa Corporation continues to top the list of companies against which the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has received maximum number of investor complaints in April. As per the figures collated by BSE, the total number of investor complaints in April stood at 4,200 against 921 listed companies, with Vatsa contributing more than 10 per cent at 434. During the same period, the number of complaints resolved stood at 10,114. The company has also reported the highest number of complaints on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).The number of complaints received against Type I companies (non-receipt of refund orders or allotment letters or stock invest) stood at 93 and the number of complaints resolved at 759.
The number of complaints received against Type II companies (non-receipt of dividend or interest) was 938 and the number of complaints resolved was 2,921.
The number of complaints received against Type III companies (non-receipt of share or debenture certificate after transfer or endorsementor conversion and bonus shares), stood at 2,349 and the number of complaints resolved at 4,608.
The number of complaints received against Type IV companies (non-receipt of annual reports, right forms or interest on delayed receipt of refund order or dividend etc) was 820. The number of complaints resolved was 1,826.
The top companies, ranked as per the complaints received in April, included Vatsa Corporation with 61 complaints, Cauvery Corporation (58), Motorol (56), Videocon International (51), ATV Projects India (47), Orkay Industries (43), Western India Industries (43), NEPC India (38), SRG Infotech (I) (35), Daewoo Motors (29), Pentafour Products (28), Yogi Pharmacy (28), PCS Industries (28), Midas (I) Ltd (26), Mahadev Corporation Ltd (25), Thapar Milk Products (24) and Altos India (20). These 20 companies account for 17.71 per cent of the total complaints received by the exchange in April.
Corporates with the maximum number of complaints pending against them for more than two months as on April 30on the NSE are Vatsa Corporation at 25, Western India Ind (7), Motorol (I) (6), NEPC India (5), Atash Ind, Padmini Poly, Pentafour Solec Tech, Cauvery Software, Chemox Chem and Rajinder Pipes with three complaints each.
