Upgradation unlikely to aid Durgapur unit
An appraisal report on the DSP, prepared by Hindustan Steel employees union stated that the Rs 6000-crore modernisation project is unlikely to bail Durgapur steel plant (DSP) out of red even during the coming five years. The report stated that the annual burden of interest and depreciation of about more than Rs 700 crore and other capital expenditure had pushed its fixed cost to an unwieldy proportion.

Mumbai-based firm bags MIDC heliport contract
The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, a nodal agency for the growth of industry and industrial estates, has awarded the Rs 2.5 crore heliport contract to the city-based Infrastructure Development and Consultants. This will be constructed near Backbay bus depot in South Mumbai.
