Sharjah free zone woos local investors

NEW DELHI, May 22: Hamriyah Free Zone's success during the recently held Sharjah Investment Week in India has resulted in the authority receiving eight investment applications from Indian investors wanting to establish presence inside the zone. The projects involve manufacturing of aluminium extrusions, steel wires, assembling of gas cylinders, assembling of mass spectrometers, furniture, clinker and bulk cement.The Hamriyah Free Zone authority expects to receive more applications in the next few weeks. Their representatives had given five presentations in Mumbai and Delhi to more than 1,000 executives and managers representing elite business segments.
