Rs 8 crore booty for NHA

NEW DELHI, June 3: The roughly Rs 8-crore booty collected by filling stations around the country amidst all the confusion over the new retail price of petrol, will be appropriated by the National Highways Authority of India for road development. ``The excess excise collection for that one day will go to the road development fund,'' said minister of state for petroleum and natural gas Santosh Gangwar.Gangwar hastened to add that Union finance minister Yashwant Sinha had already intimated the Rajya Sabha of the decision.
