Demat turnover at Rs 10.46 crore

The demat segments on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday witnessed trades worth Rs 10.46 crore from 10.40 lakh shares. At the NSE, sbi traded 281,350 shares worth Rs 577.15 lakh in 256 trades, hindalco 24,600 shares worth Rs 164.87 lakh in four trades while TISCO in 16 trades, 78,051 shares worth Rs 118.33 lakh were traded. 52,701 shares of RIL worth Rs 84.12 lakh were traded in 38 trades. In ICICI, a large number of 550,000 shares valued at Rs 27.50 lakh was traded in one trade, a National Electronic Settlement and Transfer (NEST) release said here today.At the BSE, 10,400 shares worth Rs 21.16 lakh of SBI were traded in four trades and RIL showed total trades worth Rs 20.22 lakhs from 12,450 shares in seven trades. Meanwhile, the Calcutta stock exchange would start demat trading for 30 scrips from Monday, according to a CSE release. CSE would participate as a depository for clearing and settling trades done at the exchange, and the members would have to openclearing members and beneficiary accounts with a depository participant of nsdl.
