NEW DELHI, June 14: The Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) has directed builders, Unitech Ltd, to maintain status quo in respect of all common areas in the heritage city complex developed by the company in Gurgaon. The order came after a complaint by the heritage city resident welfare association(HCRWA) alleging that Unitech was compelling them to sign sale deeds which were contrary to the Haryana Apartment Ownership Act.
The main point of contention between the parties is the ownership of common areas and facilities, it is noted.
``While inviting the public to purchase apartments in their complex, Unitech clearly stipulated that the consideration being charged by them includes charges for the `super area' together with a proportionate share in common areas and facilities,'' HCRWA said.
