Ciba Vision unveils Solo-Care: Ciba Vision, a Novartis company has launched Solo-Care, a one-bottle solution for contact lens users. Solo-Care is the only soft contact lens cleaning solution in India which not only cleans, disinfects, stores, rinses and lubricates lenses but eliminates the need of enzyme tablets necessary for lens de-proteinisation. By cutting down on the additional cost incurred on the protein enzyme remover, Solo-Care users will be able to save up to Rs 600 per annum, claims the company. Ciba Vision's Solo-Care is available in all major cities across the country. The product has been priced at Rs 100, Rs 140 and Rs 175 , for the 120 ml, 240 ml and the 360 ml bottles respectively.

Thomson launches disc: Thomson Consumer Electronics Limited has launched the Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) Player, an advanced video player. The features of the product include up to eight hours of playing time, up to 32 different sub-title tracks on a single DVD disk, music CD ad video compatible,superior picture quality, distortion-free freeze and frame advance.

RAPA awards: The twenty third Radio & TV Advertising Practitioner's Association of India Limited (RAPA) Awards will be given out in September this year. The RAPA has invited entries from producers, directors, script writers, artists, technicians, ad film makers, radio programmers, music directors, and advertising agencies associated with radio and television. This year, RAPA has introduced three more categories like dubbed TV serials, music videos and documentaries.

Hallmark opens store at Khar: Hallmark Cards Inc opened yet another store in Mumbai recently. Situated at Khar, the showroom is the company's 141st store in the country so far. The decor of the new store is woven around the theme of Rajshri Music's latest album, `Yeh Hai Prem'. This follows from Hallmark's marketing tie-up with Rajshri Music to promote `Yeh Hai Prem'. As part of the arrangement, Hallmark will manufacture and sell merchandise like cards,planners, bookmarks, posters, weekday cards and love-story books for the album through their outlets and franchisees across the country.

Digital products from Philips: Philips India limited has launched a range of digital products in the Indian market. These include, The Philips Digitial Camera, The Philips Velo, a hand held personal computer and the Philips DVD ( Digital Versatile Disc) Player. Priced at Rs 30,000, the digital camera is a compact, pocket sized still camera. The camera shoots pictures in the form of computer files on an erasable 4MB memory chip, instead of a film. While the Philips Velo, priced at Rs 37,000 is part of the company's Windows CE-based mobile computing products.
