IOC may ask I-Sec to evaluate centre stake in Lubrizol India
The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) plans to make an independent valuation of the government's holding in Lubrizol India before buying it. The refining major is likely to zero in on I-Sec, the merchant-banking arm of ICICI, for this exercise, though SBI Caps is also being considered.

ICICI-IL&FS battle hits Baroda Rayon recast plan
Leading financial institutions (FIs) the Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) are locked in a bitter battle over the sale of a property of Baroda Rayon Corporation, upsetting the restructuring operations of the Gaekwad-owned company. The institutions' divergent claims have thrown a spanner on the sale of Baroda Rayon's office floor at Hoechst House, Mumbai to IL&FS.

DoT may net Rs 12 crore extra as annual auto-roaming fees
The department of telecommunications (DoT) is expected to rake in an additional Rs 10-12 crore per annum as revenues from cellular operators by way of auto-roaming charges. This follows the charges imposed by DoT on auto roaming after the department gave its approval to provide subscribers the service.

SEBI imposes fresh set of margins to check selective speculation
The Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has slapped a fresh set of margins to avoid concentration of speculative interest in a few scrips. A margin of 10% will have to paid if the carryforward position in any scrip exceeds 3% of its share capital. In addition to this, a 5% margin will be levied on excessive concentration of net outstanding positions on a single or few scrips in both cash and carryforward trades.
