Dabhol Power report to focus on sanctions impact
Dabhol Power Company (DPC), the Enron Corporation-promoted independent- power producer, has kicked off work on a preliminary information memorandum (PIM) on the second phase of its ambitious power project based in Dabhol, Maharashtra. The PIM is expected to be a compendium of all financial, technical and other details on the project.
Maruti to unveil new models soon
Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) will launch new models in all the existing segments at the earliest. Company sources said that in order to maintain its market share, the automobile major is likely to introduce a model in the 800 cc segment. It is also working on a diesel Zen and Gypsy which are expected to be introduced in the current fiscal.
Lakme board okays interim dividend of Rs 60 per share
Lakme Ltd has set an interim dividend of Rs 60 per share for the 15-month period ending June 30, 1998, according to a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The board of directors of the company met on Monday to approve the above proposal. Lakme Ltd had sold to Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) its interests and investments in the capital of Lakme Lever Ltd, a joint venture with HLL, and its manufacturing assets.
