D-Link to hike stake in arm

MUMBAI, July 14: The Taiwan-based networking company, D-Link International, will increase its stake in its Indian arm from the present level of 40 per cent to 50 per cent by investing $2.5 million. According to the company, this fresh investment will help it in enlarging its operations in India. According to D-Link India, over the next one year, the company will expand its manufacturing facilities in the country and open more offices in the Saarc region for marketing purposes.According to D-Link India managing director KR Naik, the company will now start looking at the export market, especially to the Saarc countries. "In the four years that we have been present in India we have invested substantially in infrastructure like a manufacturing facility in Goa and a strong marketing and sales operation. We are providing strong sales and technical support to our customers," he said. D-Link International president Tony Tsao said, "We have done very well in the Indian market and are bullish about our prospects inthe future."
