MUMBAI, Aug 22: Aptech Ltd is tying up with the UK-based Tack Training International to offer a range of business training and consultancy services. The collaboration will be part of a newly structured profit centre at Aptech called Tack Training India.Tack Training International director Paul Numan told The Financial Express that Aptech will work as a Tack franchisee and help grow the business in India as well as the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Aptech is launching the training services in four cities, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Dubai. It later plans to extend the business to other cities of UAE including Doha and Bahrain.
Tack International has its clientele in 35 countries which include American Express, Unilever, ABB, and Microsoft. According to Numan, the Indian venture has already bagged projects from Shell and DHL. The training courses offered by Tack will guarantee that a client's objectives are met. That means the training programme will be followed by a regular after-training monitoringprocess spread over a couple of years to ensure that the programme is being implemented correctly.
Tack Training India vice-president Chandan Chatterjee said it is the first international organisation and the first domestic training company which has an ISO 9001 accreditation in the United Kingdom. The courses, which are aimed at improving the skills of sales people, managers and other personnel staff will be conducted in various business lines.
These include marketing, management, finance, manufacturing and sales. Tack also has a specialised set of industry-related courses which comprise the banking and insurance sector, the pharmaceuticals and chemicals industry and other business areas like logistics and communication.
The training and education market worldwide is pegged to have a potential of more than $675 billion and in India it is still a nascent industry. Aptech plans to use this collaboration to increase its presence in the business of knowledge management. The company will utilise itsexisting network of 1,100 centres across 15 countries around the globe to spread this business. In the immediate future, however, Aptech plans to concentrate on wooing companies which are committed to use training as a strategic tool in improving bottomlines.
