REUTERS
LONDON, Aug 23: European raw cotton prices remained unchanged late last week, tracking thin trade on the New York Cotton Exchange. Dealers are continuing to offer low prices for Uzbekistan and other Central Asian cottons, said market participants.

In addition, there was some interest in Poland and Germany for Central Asian descriptions, and there was trade activity in France and Belgium of a price testing nature, reported Cotlook, the Liverpool based cotton information company.

Cotton futures for the December contract on the New York Cotton exchange settled at 74.66 cents per pound, falling 0.02 C/lb. The March contract settled at 73.96 C/lb, falling 0.25C/lb, said market sources.
