The conference, to be jointly organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA), will focus on new end-use applications, availability of products and services in India and overseas, strategy for creation and expansion of markets and resolution of bottlenecks to increase its use.

Over the years, the cost of stainless steel has come down as compared to other materials due to technological innovations which, combined with long life cycle, has made it an extremely cost-effective material with ever increasing applications in the industrial as well as consumer sectors.

The event will provide a forum for interaction between the producers, processors and fabricators on the one hand, and the designers, specifiers and end-users on the other hand, says a CII spokesperson here on Monday.
