Dynamic HTML provides real-time interactivity
Hyper Text Markup Language, or HTML, the language used to programme Internet pages, is evolving fast. The two main Internet protagonists, Netscape Communications and Microsoft, as well as lesser mortals, introduce new commands every so often. These extend the capabilities of what HTML can do. From the simple text-and-graphics pages of a few years ago, now it's possible to have animation and real time interactivity, thanks to Dynamic HTML (DHTML).
WIE to introduce new range of acoustic products in market
Weiler International Electronics Pvt Ltd (WIE), a Rs 45-million turnover company formed in January 1998 following the takeover of the electronics division of UB Engineering Ltd by DM 20-million Digisound Electronics Gmbh, Germany, is planning to launch a world-class acoustic product in India, called `Siren Dixi'. Dixi siren is the latest among a wide range of acoustic products introduced by the company in India.
Egg prices touch a nadir
Egg prices in South India have hit a nadir. Eggs are now available at Rs 1.10 per unit in retail compared to Rs 1.50 a month ago. Retailers blame the loss of confidence among the public on the recent incident of school children falling ill after eating eggs at free noon-meal centres in Tamil Nadu.
