Fearing ban, plastic bag-makers ready to abide by pollution
With the Union Environment Ministry contemplating a ban on coloured poly-bags made from recycled waste, the plastic industry, in cooperation with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), prepares itself to be more environment friendly.

A status report prepared by the union chemicals and fertiliser ministry has suggested an additional investment of Rs 6,800 crore by pharma industry to boost the exports of bulk drugs to 20% and that of formulations to 10% while achieving the target level of production.
