New York, Sept 5: Gold for current delivery closed at dollar 287.00 per troy ounce Friday on the New York commodity exchange, up from dlrs 285.20 late Thursday.
Republic National Bank gave a late quote of dollars 286.60, up from dollar 284.80 Thursday.
Gold closed in london at dollar 285.60 bid per troy ounce, up from the closing price of dollar 278.50 bid Thursday.
In Zurich gold traded at dollar 285.50, up from dollar 280.10 late on Thursday. Earlier in Hong Kong, gold rose dollar by 6.80 to close at dollar 285.75 bid. Silver closed in london at dollar 4.99 bid per troy ounce, up from dollar 4.77 bid Thursday.
