Mumbai, Sept 10: Pivotals improved marginally at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on increased buying and closed with moderate gains on Thursday.The S&P Cnx nifty opened at 903.15 and ended at 907.40, showing a further rise of 3.80 from the last close of 903.60. However, the Cnx nifty junior declined by 8.85 to 1487.75 from the last close of 1496.60. S&P Cnx nifty rose by 4.25 to 740.30 from 736.05.
S&P Cnx 500, after a weak start fell further to close at 611.40, showing a minor fall of 0.35 from the previous level of 611.75. Cnx midcap also declined to 524.45 from 527.43. In 1,66,159 trades, 526.62 lakh shares worth Rs 1,163.57 crore were transacted.
