Calcutta, Sept 14: Computer Associates TCG Software Pvt Ltd, the Calcutta-based joint venture between Computer Associates International and the Chatterjee group, plans to put the forthcoming Durga Puja on the Internet in collaboration with Thema Tech.
Company chief executive Venkat Subbarao said the Durga puja from the pandals of Calcutta as well as the rest of the world can be seen on the Internet at www.westbengal.com.
The website will be available from September 20, for two months after the Pujas, beyond the Kali Puja and Diwali. "The idea is to take Calcutta to all non-resident Bengalis and give Calcuttans a glimpse of what pujas abroad are like," he said. Thema Tech, a Calcutta-based organisation, has been presenting the Durga Puja on the Internet since 1996. This year, Computer Associates will provide them with infrastructural support and funds.
