Ispat Industries to start Bhadravati power plant work by January
Ispat Industries plans to commence construction of its 1082 mw power plant in Bhadravati by January 1999. The company is currently finalising the financing structure of the project and expects funds to be tied up by the end 1998.
Gujarat Ambuja to set up second cement grinding plant in Punjab
The foundation stone of Gujarat Ambuja Cements' second cement grinding plant at Bathinda in Punjab has been laid by the state chief minister Prakash Singh Badal. The plant will use fly ash to produce high grade cement.
Hindustan Lever pays interim dues to retired employee
Hindustan Lever (HLL) has paid interim dues of Rs 48,450 to Nagesha Rao, a retired field force officer in response to the Mumbai high court's order. The interim order was in response to a petition filed by Rao in April 1998.
