Petronet Mangalore-Bangalore project on course
Petronet India (PIL), the joint venture pipelines company, is gearing up for an important project from Mangalore to Bangalore. The 365 km long multi-product pipeline will connect MRPL to Bangalore and will be designed for a final throughput of 8.5 million tonnes.
Aviation ministry grounds Air India's voluntary retirement proposals
The recently-announced voluntary retirement schemes by national carrier Air India for its 18,000 employees runs the risk of being grounded by the ministry of civil aviation. The ministry has dashed off a letter to Air India's managing director stating that the schemes will "not'' be treated as approved.
Work on Ispat Industries to start Bhadravati power plant to start by next year
Ispat Industries plans to commence construction of its 1082 mw power plant in Bhadravati by January next year. The company is currently finalising the financing structure of the project and expects funds to be tied up by the end of this year. The coal-based power plan is one of the eight fast-track power projects selected through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) route.
