IT programme, but not meant for IT managers
This is a programme on `Information Technology for Competitive Advantage', but not meant for systems managers. Rather, it's specifically designed for senior to top general managers. The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, will offer the programme from September 21 to 25 at its campus.
Samadhan Scheme calls for voluntary compliance
The Kar Vivad Samadhan Scheme declared by the Finance Minister in his speech has already come into operation with effect from September 1, 1998. The scheme is introduced as a one time solution to declog the long pending disputes and keep a foundation for a more friendly and voluntary compliance of tax systems.
