Malaysia expects better cocoa harvest
Reuters
Malaysia's cocoa production is estimated between 90,000 to 100,000 tonnes in calendar 1998, with more harvests expected in the second half of the year due to the approaching rains from La Nina, traders said. "Pollinations have already started and with more rainfalls from La Nina, we expect to harvest about 60,000 tonnes in the second half," an official said.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
