New Delhi, Sept 29: Net FII investments in equities for the week ended September 25 once again turned positive at $ 5.7 million (Rs 24.3 crore). This is in sharp contrast to the previous week's net outflow of $ 3.8 million (Rs 16.1 crore). However, according to the latest FII statistics released by the Sebi, on the debt segment FIIs still continue to be the net sellers. During the week gross purchases of equities by the FIIs were at Rs 452.9 crore while sales were at Rs 428.6 crore. During the previous week to September 18, while FII purchases were at Rs 240.1 crore, sales were at Rs 256.2 crore.
In the debt segment, for the week under review, FIIs have sold instruments worth $ 2.4 million (Rs 10.3 crore) and did not make any fresh purchases. During the previous week ended September 18 also FIIs sold debt instruments worth $ 5.2 million (Rs 22.3 crore) whithout any fresh purchases.
