PV Maiyya to take over as CDSL managing director
The former chairman of ICICI Banking Corporation, PV Maiyya, will take over as the managing director of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) promoted Central Depository Services Ltd (CDSL). Maiyya's appointment follows the decision of KR Maheshwari, former managing director of the State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur not to join the depository as its head and instead assume the top office at IndusInd Bank.
ILFS AMC plans offshore fund, targets $20 million
ILFS Asset Management Company has firmed up plans to launch an offshore fund with an initial target corpus of at least $20 million and upto a maximum of $125 million. Close on the heels of the off-shore fund, the AMC plans to launch an equity fund for the domestic investors.
Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran bond oversubscribed; mopup tops Rs 500 cr
The ruling Shiv Sena-BJP government in Maharashtra has received a shot in the arm with the Rs 350-crore bond issue floated by the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP), raking in Rs 503.12 crore. The state government undertaking had, on September 5, made a Rs 350-crore private placement with a right to retain oversubscription.
