ONGC makes a turnaround in Neelam oilfield
The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) claims to have achieved a dramatic turnaround at its problematic Neelam oilfield, 13 months after the international consultant McKinsey recommended-asset management group went to work on the property. The declining output of the field has been arrested at a time when ONGC was had begun contemplating divesting in the property.
Hindustan Antibiotics set to lease out gentamycin units
The ailing public-sector company Hindustan Antibiotics is looking out for a lease arrangement for its gentamycin facilities. The company is on the lookout for an arrangement similar to its proposed tie-up with Searle, to whom it is expected to lease out its fermenters for vitamin B12 and vitamin B2 production.
Hindustan Powerplus to widen distribution chain
Hindustan Powerplus (HPL), a CK Birla group venture with the US-based Caterpillar and a manufacturer of diesel gensets, is enhancing its distribution network to accommodate expanded capacity and increase sales of spares.
