Modi Corp to unveil cordless cellular phone 

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA  
A cordless phone that can function as a cellular phone is all set to be introduced in the country by telecom provider Modi Telstra. The dual-mode phone will enable subscriber to pay less for calls when operated within the cordless range. "It will switch back to the cellular mode once out of the range of fixed phone," Modi Corp executive director (cellular business) Dilip Modi said. The dual-mode phone named "Personal Communicator" is, at present, being offered in Australia.
