Indian Oil sounds out IPCL for role in Nagapattinam refinery
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has sounded out navratna counterpart, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation (IPCL), for participating in the 9-million-tonne refinery being commissioned at Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu. IPCL will either be asked to pick up an equity in the refinery or be an active partner for any allied activity like petrochemicals.
Cadbury seeks to squeeze cash from real estate
Cadbury India is exploring the possibility of generating revenue from Cadbury House, its corporate headquarters at Pedder Road in south Mumbai. Industry sources, say the company plans to lease out a part of its plush building.
Indo Rama plans strategic units on Andersen advice
Indo Rama Synthetics, the OP Lohia-managed petrochemicals company, has gone in for a recast of its business organisation following consultant Arthur Andersen's recommendations. The company's operations are being divided into strategic business units in the polyester, spun yarn and DTY businesses to cater to its existing operations.
