MUMBAI, Oct 15: Qualigens Fine Chemicals (QFC), a division of Glaxo India, has entered into a strategic marketing alliance with the UK-based Oxoid Ltd for a range of culture media and microbiological products. Under the terms of the agreement, Qualigens Fine Chemicals will initially market a select range of 50 Oxoid products, comprising mainly dehydrated culture media and biochemicals with a varied application in the several industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to waste water treatment.Glaxo India director PV Nayak said, "Oxoid has a range of more than 150 products. Our challenge is to establish ourselves in the culture media market. The association with Oxoid is exciting as we are committed to making a breakthrough in a monopoly market."
Oxoid, with over 70 years of experience, is a leading player in the culture media industry. According to a Glaxo India release, Oxoid's products are continually improved and refined utilising latest research and development advances in response to customer's needsand expectations.
Qualigens Fine Chemicals, at present, markets a wide range of fine chemicals, diagnostic kits, disposable labware, liquid handling instruments and disinfectants.
