Fire-cracker trade needs to be regulated
It's a reflection of the times. Festivals keep acquiring new trappings. The lunar position may decide the Diwali date, but its arrival is announced by court orders now. This year, the Delhi High Court has directed all hospitals in the Capital to admit Diwali burns victims without insisting on the fulfilment of medico-legal formalities first. A healthy step forward, indeed.
Personnel needs to rethink strategies
We are in a world of change. What we studied yesterday is not useful today. What we study today may be of very little use tomorrow. Further, there is a big gap between theory and practice. In these days of downsizing, business process restructuring, flat structure, is there any scope for career planning?
Finally, global credit cards are here
International credit cards can now be used more freely than before for the Reserve Bank of India has allowed resident Indians to use add-on credit cards issued to their NRI relatives. So, it's happy times for those with NRI links.
