I-Sec forsees squeeze in short term
Liquidity during the next fortnight is expected to remain fairly tight, ICICI Securities (I-Sec) has said in its debt market review for the fortnight ended October 15. The commentary also points out that the SLR investments have grown by Rs 8,035 crore.
MSEB extends bonds' issue closure date
The Rs 150-crore bond issue of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB), which was to close on October 7, has been extended to the third week of the month. This has been done to "enable the board to generate more funds" to buy a 30% stake in the Dabhol Power Company (DPC) and also part finance its own projects.
1.98 lakh bad deliveries seen in UTI Mastergain counter
Bad deliveries at the UTI Mastergain counter of the BSE has risen to a phenomenal high of 1.98 lakh shares. The bad delivery auction, conducted on the BSE yesterday, saw a huge quantity of over 1 lakh shares of UTI Mastergain auctioned at an average price of Rs 9.
