NEW DELHI, OCT 18: Finance minister Yashwant Sinha will inaugurate a three-day conference-cum-exposition on infrastructure development, Infranet'98, in New Delhi on October 22.The Confederation of Indian Industry-organised event is aimed at providing a forum for direct interaction among relevant agencies and developers, both government and private, for finalising a concrete action plan for the country's infrastructure development.
The feasibility, operationalisation and time schedules of various projects will also be discussed between central and state government agencies and prospective implementors and co-ordinators of various projects, a CII statement said.
"Infranet '98 will be an ideal meeting ground for players of the industry seeking specific business-enhancement opportunities and joint-venture partners," the statement said.
The three-day event will primarily focus on surface transport including roads, bridges, highways, ports and airports, urban infrastructure like housing, waste-managementsystems, drainage, water supply, industrial estates and mixed-use townships.
