Centre permits 20% rebate on khadi silk

Chennai, Oct 18: Centre has permitted a 20 per cent rebate on khadi silk products, heeding the request of the Tamil Nadu government, an official release said.The Khadi and Village Industries Board stated that the rebate on khadi products would not apply to cotton and polyester varieties with a price of more than Rs 200 per metre and readymade garments with a price of more than Rs 500.
