Milestone ties-up with EMI Music: Milestone Entertainment Pvt Ltd, a leading entertainment company in the country, has announced a strategic tieup with EMI Music. Joining forces with EMI, Milestone is now an exclusive licensee for all EMI labels in the country. In addition to promoting international labels, EMI and Milestone intend to be active in working with Indian artists and support the development of the country's music across the globe. Milestone has also set up a music distribution company which will be a common company for both Virgin Record (India) and Milestone entertainment.

Singapore Tourism launches new website: Singapore Tourism Board has launched a new website called New Asia-Singapore, to give Singapore tourism a new presence in the cyberspace. The new website replaces the board's previous destination website and significantly boosts the destination's profile in the over crowded electronic marketplace. The website( http;//www.newasia -singapore), is designed to be a `one-stop'guide and visitors to the website have access to vital information on Singapore and its attractions including inter-active maps of the island.

Sony launches AXN: Sony-owned AXN action TV has launched its India service. The male-oriented channel will have a 24-hour service featuring top Hollywood, international and Asian action and adventure programming including movies, television series, action animation and extreme sports. "It is the first TV channel to provide non-stop action and is already proving to be a hit among action loving 18-year to 45-year olds, cable operators and advertisers throughout Asia," says AXN chief executive officer James Buklarewicz. Based in Singapore, AXN is represented in India by Sony Entertainment Television. AXN viewers are mainly between 18-45 years and the Channel attracts male brands.
