Skindia Index up 3.52% to 547.49 points

Mumbai, Oct 27: The Skindia GDR Index, representing GDRs of 18 actively trading companies, increased by 3.52 per cent from 528.88 to 547.49 on October 26, 1998 as per the Skindia GDR Index with a base January 02, 1995 equal to 1000.

The Skindia GDR Index P/E ratio was 15.26 as compared to 14.85, Skindia Finance, a Mumbai-based broking and research house specialising in Indian GDRs quoted in a press release issued here today. There were 34 gainers, no loser and 26 unchanged as compared to 26 gainers, 8 losers and 26 unchanged on October 26.

The day's top gainers were GE Shipping, SPIC and Raymond Woolen which were quoted at $ 2.53, $ 2.73 and $ 2.63 as against $ 2.20, $ 2.43 and $ 2.35 on October 26.
