Andersen Consulting has announced the admission into its partnership of Sanjay Jain, from its New Delhi office. Jain, 39, is a B Tech from IIT Delhi, and an MBA from Miami University, in the US. He joined the firm's Cincinnati office in 1986 and returned to India in 1990, where he started the New Delhi office.

Birendra Kumar is new MD & CEO, SBI Cap

Birendra Kumar has taken over as managing director and CEO, SBI Capital Markets Ltd (SBI Cap). Prior to this appointment, he was president and COO, SBI Cap.

Kumar joined SBI in 1966 and has since handled various assignmentsin India and abroad. During the three decades of his career with SBI, he has held important positions in the fields of credit, international banking and development banking, including that of president and COO of SBI (California) and the Los Angeles Agency, representative SBI, Washington D C, manager, credit and operations, SBI Tokyo, and regional manager at Bhopal.
