Sterlite Industries downs shutter at Tuticorin on Chennai court order
A green bench of the Chennai high court on Monday ordered Sterlite Industries (India) to immediately shut down its copper-smelter plant at Tuticorin.
Indian Oil plans petrochemicals site in Punjab
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is in talks with the Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC) for setting up a Rs 6,000-crore petrochemicals complex in Bhatinda. PSIDC will hold 10% equity in the venture, while the shareholding of other partner(s) will be decided at a later date.
RCF, Belgian firm sign pact to manufacture methylamines
Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Belgium-based UCB SA for setting up a 50:50 joint venture to manufacture methylamines.
