RBI chalks out norms for banks risk foray
The Reserve Bank of India is drawing up guidelines for state-run banks' entry into the insurance sector which has been thrown open by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led coalition government at the centre.

The Orissa State Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC), while disposing off Gridco's appeal for enhancement of power tariff, has allowed the latter a lower revenue realisation for the current year.

RBI kicks off probe into clutch of weak cooperative banks
The Reserve Bank of India has initiated countrywide investigations against 222-and-odd cooperative banks, out of which 1,810 have been found "weak"and plans to take appropriate action in this regard.
