Foreign institutional investors shun forwards, ignore lower hedging limit
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) continue to stay away from the forward market despite the Reserve Bank of India's relaxation of the foreign exchange hedging limit to 15 per cent of their total investment.
ITC to issue duplicate shares to Canbank fund
With the arrest of Pankaj Shah, the broker who defaulted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Canbank Offshore fund has decided to approach ITC for issue of duplicate shares to compensate for the losses incurred by the fund.
Electronic clearing may soon be mandatory for listed firms
The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has drawn up plans to make it mandatory for listed companies to switch to electronic clearing system and nationalised banks to computerise at least 70 per cent of their operations.
