NEW DELHI, DEC 3: Enterprise networking systems will have to quickly take convergence into account, according to 3Com country manager Atul Kanwar. Network design, he said, will soon be required to support and enable the transition that networks will go through in the future.Network systems of large enterprises will need to focus on operational efficiency for reduced administration and cost, reliability and service support for maximum business uptime, be convergence-ready for real-time applications, Kanwar said.
"The systems will have to have the ability to support multiple types of information such as voice, video and data over a single network, end-to-end and desktop-to-desktop across the local area networks, wide area networks and even in the remote access networking across geographical boundaries," he pointed out.
