Oil cos modify fuel supply pact to help power projects
In order to give a boost to the liquid fuel based power projects, the national oil companies have modified a host of provisions of the model fuel supply agreement (FSA).
Oilfields Bill to be placed before RS next week
Union minister for petroleum and natural gas, Vazhapadhy K Ramamurthy, said on Thursday that the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Bill will be placed in Rajya Sabha next week.
Rubber industry unlikely to achieve export target
The rubber industry is unlikely to achieve its export target of Rs 1000 crore for 1998-99 owing to global recession, especially in the South-East Asian countries and West Asia. It may achieve only 75% of the target at around Rs 750 crore, Zachariah George, chairman of Indian Rubber Institute said yesterday.
